Genres don’t define its point...
This is my first
#RandomBlogThought A first of many I guess. I’m the kind of person who can
easily be distracted by my wandering thoughts. And this just instantaneously
popped inside my daydreaming head and made me think…
Labeling songs with genres do help identify
what kind of music it is. But, in my opinion it doesn’t signify the song’s
specific purpose or message for a person, it’s just a mere category. For
example, when there’s a party you immediately play House music, a random David
Guetta track playing on those booming loud speakers. When you go
prepping/stretching/exercising you immediately play something like “Eye of the
Tiger” or Fort Minor’s “Remember the Name” from your iPhone. When you’re just
plain sad and you need a little positivity and inspiration in your life,
Natasha Bedingfield’s right there to brighten your day… Or it could be the
other way around.
I know a person who listens to KPOP music
while studying, and finds it effective. Why? Behind those boppy tunes, you
can’t understand a word uttered by the artist, which allows her to focus on
studying (if you aren’t Korean or a person speaking Korean, this will totally
work)
I for one think that music is versatile
enough to have different purposes for each person’s liking, that music has a
definite power of speaking for itself, of uniquely touching each person’s
eardrums. If you ask me what would the perfect bbackground music of my life (If
I were to choose only one song from my huge iTunes Library), my instant answer
would be “Calling (Lose My Mind)” by Sebastian Ingrosso & Alesso feat. Ryan
Tedder, (I know it was kind of last year, but hey! It never gets old) not only are they my favorite DJs of all time, and I completely adore
Ryan Tedder’s angelic voice and the perfect combination they all contributed to
perfect this track. It’s the most played song in my Music Library (you don’t
wanna know the playcount…) It’s very much suitable for every mood I can
possibly feel.
Here, if you haven’t heard it, check it
out…
Calling (Lose My Mind) - Ingross & Alesso Feat. Ryan Tedder
This song explains how powerful and dynamic
each song can be, how it can affect a person SPECIFICALLY:
1.)
When I’m down in the dump or
just plain depressed, its beat and lyrics just pulls me up. It can easily hype
my mood and make get back up again.
2.)
When you wanna go work out or
break a sweat.
3.)
When you feel happy, it can
easily increase your hype-ness.
4.)
It tells you to let loose and
let go, let the chips fall where they may, to breathe and let the journey of
life take its course.
5.)
It can definitely be a victory/
happy-dance song.
6.)
It can be a love song, or a
break up song, or a move on kind of song. (I Don’t know YOU tell me)
7.)
It gives you hope.
Perfect Background Music of Life.
Think about it.
What’s yours?
