Miyajima is an island located out coast of Hiroshima, Japan. The island is known for its impeccable view, its serene temples, and its one of a kind delicacies. The whole experience was definitely eye opening; I really got to appreciate the beauty Japan has to offer, and its fruitful culture.
ONE WITH NATURE
It’s not just a place for worship and prayer but it’s also a place where you can be in one with nature, its amazing how a beautiful sight can just make you stop from walking underneath the blazing sun and allow you to just appreciate what’s in front of you. You get to inhale fresh air, and you can easily pet friendly deer’s strolling all over the island.

JAPANESE Architecture
Seeing Japanese Temples and admiring the unique architecture is part of the Miyajima experience. Just by looking at the beautiful structures
you already get a feel of the history that’s written all over the island and
how their people have preserved its distinctness.
FOOD
I can definitely say that Miyajima is foods
strip, every alley and corner you can literally see and smell food, from cakes
to oysters, from fine dining to tasty street food. I think that’s the best
thing about Miyajima, you get to know their
culture through their food.
FRIENDLY TIPS:
- Bring a bottled WATER – it can definitely be tiring when going around and you need to be hydrated, or else you might stop at every vending machine to quench your thirst.
- Wear COMFY footwear – inclined with the first tip, you may get tired walking around the whole island, and you get around by foot. So you should bring your most comfiest pair of sandals.
- The restaurants can be a tad bit pricy because
of their fresh delicacies, so if you plan to stay on budget, eat heavy before
going there and stick to their also spectacular street food when you feel
hungry.
